Sponsorship available for Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship applications based on translational research.
The Translational Research Hub (National University of Ireland Maynooth, Dublin City University and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland) with EU partners University of Montpellier and the CNRS Institute of Functional Genomics (Montpellier, France), CNR Institute of Biostructure and BioImaging and Institute of Crystallography (Naples and Bari, Italy), and University of Marburg (Germany) have come together to sponsor Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship applications based on translational research in the following areas:
• Cardio-Vascular Research, Athero-Thrombosis and Stroke • Autoimmunity, Infection and Inflammation • Behavioral Disorders • Cancer • Neurodegeneration & Epilepsy • Nutrition and Metabolism • Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine • Lung Disease
and supporting technologies:
• Biosensors • Biophotonics and Imaging • Diagnostics • Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Delivery
Applications for sponsorship by the host institutions are invited from experienced researchers (post-doc level). The TRH will support the application of suitable candidates for Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowships (http://cordis.europa.eu/fp7/mariecurieactions/ief_en.html) for the purpose of career development of EU based researchers, International Reintegration Grants (http://cordis.europa.eu/fp7/mariecurieactions/irg_en.html) and International Incoming Fellowships (http://cordis.europa.eu/fp7/mariecurieactions/iif_en.html ) for the purpose of bringing non-EU based researchers with novel and complementary research expertise into the TRH host institutions. Marie Curie eligibility rules will apply.
Successful fellows will be offered career development, training and mobility opportunities within the network of the TRH and EU partners and will avail of the support and training initiatives offered by the Career Enhancement and Mobility Program (CEMP) (www.nbipireland.com).
